Bandile B Leopeng “”Life is a fight for territory. Once you stop fighting for what you do want, what you don’t want will automatically take over.” – Les Brown

The above quote from motivational author, and speaker Les Brown really captures what the essence of LEOGOLD is about. As a boxer, there is no other way to win than to fight for victory. Whether you win, lose, or draw as long as you’ve fought your best then you have achieved success. We all have an inherent nature of fighting within us. How we apply this skill is what determines the course of your life.

Fight Laziness

The very first battle to win is the battle of the mind. It is in this dimension that the greatest successes are made. The mind will be very quick to put up resistance to change, especially when it comes to stepping out of our comfort zone for the sake of self-improvement. Overcoming this mental barrier will surely put you on the path to success

Fight for your purpose

LEOGOLD is all about defining your purpose and finding a way to actualise it. Your purpose is self-determined, nobody else can set this for you. If you find yourself in a situation when it seems like you are living somebody else’s life, you need to review and find the courage to take a stand for your own sake

Fight to make a difference

One important lesson I have learned in operating LEOGOLD is that it definitely is not about what I want or my preferences. It is about what kind of a positive difference I can make in the lives of LEOGOLD members. Everybody who steps onto LEOGOLD premises has done so with some type of intention in mind. If you can change even one person’s life then you have made a difference

Fight for what is right

As human beings we all live by moral standards and codes of ethics. Abiding by our principles imbues a sense of well-being in whatever we do. It shows that we are living in accordance with what we choose for ourselves, and if there is any deviations whatsoever, if any action feels out of balance or misaligned, we can immediately take steps to correct it and get back in harmony

Do not fight against yourself.

With all this being said it is important to let a balance of wisdom take over. The more ambitious we become, the higher the standards we raise for ourselves, the more inevitable the pain of defeat will be. We must be willing to accept that “pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional”- Haruki Mirakami . We will suffer if we employ negative self-talk, berate ourselves for perceived mistakes, and punish ourselves for our actions, thoughts, and emotions. This is a zero-sum game. At LEOGOLD I always emphasize that members must say positive things to themselves, and ease them along the way to victory.
